11: 10 AM: Let me first throw out all the bets I have.  I will also include my teams I drafted in my Auction Draft.  I could care less about my bracket (which is actually doing great for once).  Then as the day goes on I will be giving thoughts (a.k.a. bitching) on all the games.

Arkansas (Actually want them to lose, due to my stake in Indiana and the fact I’m betting on Indiana today) Really excited about going 4-0 on the auction yesterday and not even losing a team yet.  Also ended up winning about 4 units yesterday.  It was a great day.  There is a 0% chance today goes as well.  

11:25: American is up 6-5.  I’m 95% sure this is going to be the last time they lead in this game.  They’ve missed 5 layups already.  This is going to be a LONG game.  They look so overmatched it’s ridiculous.   

11:27: CBS just put me out of my misery.  I’m now watching Davidson v. Gonzaga.  I know this is a better game and all, but I really don’t feel like watching it.  Let’s see if I can find these games online. 

11:30: That could not have been easier to figure out.  Check this out if you want to watch the games at your computer.  This is going to make it easier to blog as well. 

11:34: American is still taking horrible shots.  The guy just airballed the shot and his reward was an easy layup.  How are they are still winning? What’s going on.  

11:44: And the route is on.  Tennessee just went on a 11-2 run.  Tennessee is probably going to cover in the first half. 

11:50: Took myself away from the torture.  Tuning into the Western Kentucky game.  

11:55: Turns out I enjoy torture. The Western Kentucky v. Drake game is boring.  Back to the other one.  

12:08: Halftime.  The Little Giants didn’t make a FG in the last 7 minutes.  Somehow they are only down 7 points.  They still have no shot at covering.  I might go hedge this bet if I get the right odds. 

12:19: Drake v. WKU is just a three point shootout.  Somehow WKU is winning with their backups in and without even getting to the line once.  Very happy with a 9 point halftime lead.  Back to the other game. 

12:25: God, you could not have picked a better day for a snowstorm.  Not a single customer has come into my store today.  Normally this would bother me, today I’m ecstatic. 

12:31: Decided not to hedge.  I’m enjoying watching Tennessee toy with American.  That ridiculous alley oop just lit a fire in American.  They are only down 1 right now.

12:50: Watching in awe right now.  American just tied it at 40-40 with back to back miracle 3’s.  This is awesome.  I heart March Madness. 

12:52: Really contemplating hedging right now.  Tennessee is up 2 with 11 minutes to play.  Tennessee is honestly 10 times better than American.  American has already gone 7 minutes without scoring at one point in this game.  Tennessee to cover right now is 11.5:1 odds.  Not sure why I shouldn’t do this.  

12:55: The odds are gone.  Really mad at myself.  Now Tennessee is up 8.  

1:00: SO FUCKING HAPPY RIGHT NOW.  Best hedge of my life.  The 11.5:1 odds disappeared as I told you guys.  Then for a couple minutes no one put any odds out there.  So, I created my own for the hell of it at 19.5:1 odds.  Someone stupidly matched it immediately.  Meaning I now win 1.3x on American if they cover.  If they don’t cover I win 1.9x on Tennessee.  I just got myself out of this shitfest of a game.  

1:09: As great as that first hedge was, my second one was stupid.  After hedging American came back and tied it.  In the meantime I had tried to change my 19.5:1 bet to 20:1 and ended up putting both of them out there (Read: This is why not to join Matchbook, for smart people like Vegas Watch).  They both got matched of course since it’s now tied.  Now I win 1.15x on American and 6x on Tennessee.  Tennessee is not going to cover.  So, now all my excitement basically cost me .35x. 

2:08: YES.  1 point lead with 5 seconds to play.  I win either way.  Long writeup coming once this ends. 

2:26: I was afraid to write anything until this game ended, in fear of jinxing it, punching my computer, or throwing my keyboard.  How the fuck did Western Kentucky blow that 16 point lead late in the 2nd half.  And then Drake takes a difficult shot to win it.  I mean, move the ball around, get a good look, I don’t care if you win, just don’t cover.  Then Drake comes out killing it in O.T. and the anger just started building inside me.  Fortunately, my first customer of the day came in and wanted to go upstairs.  Normally this would have bothered me, but the agony of watching this would have really got to me.  Come back downstairs with 20 seconds to play to find WKU up 1 with 20 seconds to play.  Drake attempts at least 6 shots to win it missing all of them.  Drake gets a bail out foul called and makes both free throws.  Thank God they didn’t only make 1 and force this one to double O.T. WKU comes down and makes the miracle three we will be watching for years on replays and I end up winning both morning bets and picking the upset in my bracket.  Another great, stressful sports betting day.

2:27: I’m up 3.3 units after the morning session.  Time to sweat out South Alabama and the longest school name ever, University of Maryland Baltimore County.  2:45: I think it’s been confirmed why I have gambling issues.  My little brother and Dad are on a golf trip in New Orleans this week, but decided to take a day off from golf and go to the horse track.  My brother’s been texting me all day about the games as he plays everything I do.  My Dad turns into an animal at horse tracks.  It’s so much fun going there with him.  He drinks like a machine and makes the dumbest bets.  When we are both drunk we end up fighting a lot.  Turns out my brother just texted me this: ‘Dad is the luckiest mother fucker alive.  He just won two trifectas in a row.’  I’m going to equate his winnings to my betting increments just for fun.  He won 2x on the first trifecta and 6.8x on the second one.  Screw him, he’s hanging out in the sun, drinking beer and is up 8.8 units.  I’m working for him, sweating my balls off for each victory and only up 3.3 units today. 

3:03: Sorry to all the new commentors for taking so long to moderate your comments.  I was quite busy actually working and watching the games.  I just tuned in for the first time in the second set of games in time to see UConn nail an insanely tough shot before the buzzer at halftime. 

3:57: Just finished writing up a big sale.  Lousy work.  I just started watching the Georgetown game to hear the announcer say, “Georgetown now has its largest lead of the game.” Fucking Sweet.  That means they had been covering all game up until this point.  Gonna blog out the final 5 minutes here.  Lets go long team name. 

4:01: See this is why I wanted to watch it on T.V. to whichever commentor mocked me.  The internet keeps going in and out and all I can hear is the announcing.  Throw me a bone internet.  

4:05: Haha, long team name are the Retrievers.  Yes, I mock them and my video feed comes back.  Down 17, lets cover. 

4:08: Georgetown puts in their backups.  Normally that would be a good thing.  Unfortunately for me these backups are better than my team’s starters.  Fuck, 4 straight missed 3’s to end the game that would have given me a push.  I now lost everything I won this morning.  Due to the good juice I got on long team name I’m almost exactly even after my 4 bets today.

4:40: That Carmen San Diego line by the announcer of the UConn v. San Diego game was horrible.  Who knew a guy with such a plane name, ”Rob Jones” would be so clutch.  That reverse was sick and he hit a tough runner as well. 

4:45: Another poor anouncing job.  The announcer got all excited that UConn tied the score when they didn’t, they were still down 1.  Still, that doesn’t compare to the hack job done in the Drake game, where the announcer said Kyle Korver instead of Klayton Korver over 10 times.  Where’s Gus Johnson when you need him?

4:48: Token white free throw shooter for San Diego goes 2/4 at the line to end the game before getting removed.  San Diego did still get a pretty good look to end regulation though.  Here comes another overtime.  Glad, I don’t have money on this one.

5:03: A really boring overtime period.  San Diego left UConn’s slasher wide open with less than a minute to go.  You just can’t let that happen.  And then my unoriginal named star Rob Jones takes it to the rack strong for a 2, unfortunately he couldn’t complete the 3 point play because he shoots 57% from the line.  UConn makes both free throws, so now San Diego has 9 seconds to pull the upset. 

5:09: My internet went out with those 9 seconds to play.  ARGH.  So frustrating.  And now it pops back in with 1.2 seconds to play.  Sweet I miss seeing the shot live.  Still pretty pumped that UConn got upset, wasn’t really committed to them anywhere.

5:49: That’s all for today. I’m off work.  Time to start boozing during these games, lots of action in terms of betting and four of my auction teams play as well.  Good luck to you all.  Might do some more blogging tomorrow.
